The one I personally find the most reasonable is for your health. I have met several people who have become vegetarian or vegan for "health reasons". So I'm wondering, what are these health benefits? Is meat not healthy? Why does cutting meat from your diet make you a healthier person? Asked by Lydia - Thu Jan 29 16:25:55 2009 - - 7 Answers - 1 Comments A. Just because someone says they are vegetarian or vegan doesn't necessarily mean that they are healthier. It depends on the protein sources they are eating in place of meat. You can do it right, but most people dont, and I have found that veg eat way too much sugar. Key reasons: benefit to the planet, it takes a lot less resources to grow vegetables for food consumption than it takes to grow cows (also responsible for disappearing rain forests), plus, it doesn't support factory farming practices which are not only horribly cruel to animals in that they have horrible living conditions, but also, this type of farming is environmentally destructive. Q. I know COBRA is available for many, but it is very expensive to keep up and runs only for a limited period. Questions like this have been asked before and those against governement supported health care just accused those who didn't have health insurance as lazy losers. But with the economy crashing, the scenario has changed. If you aren't employed anymore and have no income and little savings, what are you doing for health insurance? Asked by cami - Wed Aug 26 18:02:53 2009 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. here are many things that are expensive. COBRA is reasonable. If insurance is important to someone they need to make that sacrifice. I guess we should be paying for their food and homes. Those are expensive and a necessity. Where does it stop? \ Bad things happen. That is life. Hard times come and tough decisions have to be made. That still does not make it anyone else's reponsibility to care for you. And you need to talk to COBRA again. That figure, according to the guy I just spoke to , seems inflated.
